My ribs are too sore. This baby is too rambunctious. That's what they all say about little boys before they are born.

Here are more pics from our Christmas Party.

All photos were grabbed from Ronniekin's Wrong Cruise site and all photos were taken by Rxandy Capinpin.

Love the lighting. =).

Jimmy Hendrix, anyone?

I Want You Back!

Team Photo

Another team photo...I don't know who the person in red was...Honestly. least I'm included in the official photos. Last year, I was on duty and we had an Academy Awards Night Theme and I crashed the party wearing a tank top and jeans. At least my outfit this year is 70-ish. =).

Shrimp Is the Fruit of The Sea (Benjamin Buford "Bubba" Blue)

Had my pre-natal check up yesterday with my new OB...Man, she was scary. But she gave satisfactory answers to our questions and she didn't hesitate to nag me about my sudden weight gain.

Yes, I gained 8 f*ck!ng pounds in 3 weeks!!! Gosh. I've already started showing symptoms of 'pagmamanas' as well. Lumalapad na din daw yung nose ko....Waaah!!!

Well, I've gotten careless on my diet these past weeks because we attended a Christening, Christmas Parties, and went malling a lot so the urge to eat had been difficult to curb. And as if my husband would stop me from eating. Look at him, all big and cuddly.

Anyways, as my doctor had advised me, I am supposed to limit my rice intake and start switching to Wheat bread instead, which I can do no problem. The hardest part is avoiding salty foods like chips (but I've been avoiding these since last month), soy sauce (good bye, california maki), and bagoong (good because I still can't stand the smell). I've been careful with sweets as well, wouldn't want to develop gestational diabetes.

I'm 29 weeks pregnant, only 8 more weeks to go....scared, excited but more scared.

Went Christmas shopping at that new mall called Trinoma. Very tiring. But we had a superb meal at this shrimp heaven called "Bubba Gump."

If everything is quite fine and dandy at your table, then this sign must show, otherwise if you need any assistance, just flip the sign below. =)

Yes, we are ready to order!

My mango sparkler, which I didn't drink because it was a mixture of mango, lemon, and orange. Would've made my gastritis sparkle, that's for sure.

My husband's blueberry lemonade.

The resto's interior. Lots and lots of Forrest Gump memorabilia. They even play the movie non-stop. But it's on mute though, otherwise the crew would've gone bananas every time they'd see a box of chocolates. =).

My husband's shrimp basket. It has fried and batter-coated shrimp, steamed shrimps, and shrimp balls with fries on the side. Lipsmacking goodness!

The other side of the basket.

The "I'm Stuffed!" Shrimp

It's a "large shrimp stuffed with crab, baked in garlic butter and topped with Monterey Jack Cheese. Served with Jasmine Rice."

We were stuffed after this, and what better way to burn calories by continuing our shopping expedition.

At the end of the day, I was so tired. This would be our last mall stop over for this year. I'd spend the next month relaxing and the only time I'll set foot in a mall again is when we start to do our baby shopping.

Happy Holidays everyone!

A Not So Merry Medicall Christmas Party

Okay...we lost. There. I got it out of the way. And we're not happy about it.

Just look at our performance. Man, we were good. And we frigging lost. Talagang dito sa office, walang trabaho, personalan lang. Hehe, spoken like a sore loser.

I'm still proud of our team. Despite our 24 hour shifting schedule, we came up with something that we are proud of and it showed our unity. Unlike some other accounts here.

Enjoy the show though. Video is courtesy of my agent, Tina Marfa.

See? I even danced my pregnant ass off and our Michael Jackson was the best!

Give me a few minutes to self-pity. I haven't indulged in any since I got pregnant because I've been extremely happy so far, except for last night.

There was an after party-party at Hard Rock which was open bar. Losing the competition made me want to drown my disappointment and frustration but of course I can't. We left after a few minutes because I was afraid I'd star bawling because I was really, really craving for a drink to alleviate my frustration. Seeing my supervisor, fellow team leader and agents drowning themselves in alcohol wasn't helping.

I morosely picked at my food during a supposedly heavenly meal at Heaven 'n' Eggs despite my hunger.

And the hardest part was hearing their drunken stories the day after. In the olden days, I would've staggered my way out of Hard Rock.

Suddenly, I feel so old.

Sorry my little Wolf, Mommy would feel better soon...I promise.

Day 1

Tuesday (December 1) was Date Day for me and my husband. This was our first time to visit the famed SM Mall of Asia, and the place was really huge! We just started walking around (well my husband was walking, I was more or less waddling. =p) and started to take in the sights.

Good thing we went there on a weekday as there weren't a lot of people except in the Department Stores, as usual. But otherwise, the crowd wasn't menacing as compared to, say SM North EDSA.

We weren't planning to do our Christmas shopping yet so we just browsed at some stores but I had to make a quick stop-over at the nearby Starbucks because of their Double-Your-Sticker promo and with my husband's help, I earned 4 stickers that has left me with 5 more sticker slots to fill. =).

Little did I know that my husband was intending to take me to Highlands Steakhouse for lunch.

Backtrack: We discovered this restaurant via one of my favorite food blogs, Desserts Come First when Ms. Lori featured this resto on one of her entries. After I showed the article to my husband, who was then still my boyfriend, we placed Highlands Steakhouse high on our places-to-dine-in-someday list.

And after more than a year of salivating over Ms. Lori's post, the chance to dine here has presented itself, and we were more than happy to take it. =).

This is the entrance from the viewing deck.

I forgot to take pictures of the main entrance inside the mall because my husband and I were both lecherously taking in the fantastic legs of the mini-skirt-Cowgirl-outfit that the hostess was wearing. =p. Forgot to take pictures of her as well. Darn. My husband and I both agreed that the hostess was really hot. Her cowboy hat and boots didn't hurt a bit. No, it definitely didn't.

Anyway, there was a bit of a walk from the entrance to the dining area and we passed by a big glass case containing the pure-chunks of beefy goodness that the place is famous for. And over at the left side would be the tank where four medium-sized lobsters were lazily swimming about. Hah. Poor creatures...they were about to lose one of their mates. (Evil grin).

Sorry for the absence of pics, at this point, we were still staring at that hot hostess' legs while she was showing us our table.

After we placed our order, we took in the ambiance of the whole place and for some reason, I kept expecting FPJ and Erap to swagger inside with their cohorts, and start to chug down bottles after bottles of Gold Eagle Beer. Hehe. The place is reeking of macho-ness.

And there is my definitely macho husband, waiting impatiently for his order.

Our server, Angel. Really nice and accommodating. We love Angel!

A few minutes later, a platter of bread arrived along with our drinks. Always watermelon shake for me, and bottomless iced tea for him.

And there it was...

The magnificent Surf'n'Turf (Php 1680.00)...Half a lobster slathered with Emmenthal cheese and an inch-thick serving of filet mignon. The steamed veggies and baked potato were not bad either.

And since, I'm not real fond of beef due to an emotional trauma years and years before, I had to order their Prawns Au Gratin (Php780.00) because they weren't serving pork or chicken. Beef comprises about 75% of their menu and their menu was only one page, the size of a 5x7 index card, back to back.

Look at those beauties, staring helplessly at me. They need not have worried, they are now at a better place. =).

Taking the first bite of his Surf'n'Turf.

Now this was an expensive meal... the most expensive meal that we have had eaten since we started dating. But hey, trying out new things once in a while is not bad. And this was definitely money well spent. Just ask my husband.

After dawdling and rubbing our tummies, we spent a few minutes taking pics at the viewing before heading back inside to continue our sojourn.

I know we weren't supposed any shopping but I just couldn't resist this cute bag and slip-ons from the EGG Store. Hubby can't resist my puppy pleading looks. =)

After a couple of more hours of walking, my feet are now screaming in protest, and my tummy had started to cramp which only means that my 6 1/2 pregnant body is now tired and ready to rest.

And off we went back home after a day of walking but we're both happy little campers.

Summary: We explored around 60% of the mall. I'd probably be more keen on exploring the whole place in a day if I wasn't pregnant but I have to prioritize my little one.

Little did I know, that I would return the day after...

Day 2

It's still my rest day but my husband was off to work so when my brother and my mom dropped of my team's freshly laundered Christmas Party costumes, I persuaded them to go out for lunch before I die of boredom in my husband's house while waiting for him.

And so, I was back at the Mall of Asia. We didn't cover much ground because my brother had an appointment, and lunch was not as fancy as the day before but we enjoyed our tapa and crispy liempo at the good old Tapa King.

Mom and I spent about 30 minutes watching these kids at Hockey School.

Would've been a nice sport to play, if not for the equipment costs. I'd settle for soccer anytime but I hope that my little boy gets hooked up with hockey. I'd definitely support him on this one.

And the highlight of the day....

With my tall Strawberries and Cream Frappucino, Kuya's Tall Hot Peppermint Mocha, and mom's tall Coffee Jelly, I finally copped enough stickers to get my planner!!!!

And like every proud Starbucks planner owner, I can't help but inhale the leathery goodness of this planner. The last time I got one of these was 2006. This year's definitely better.

My husband had let out a sigh of relief. I won't drink another cup of Starbucks coffee until after I give birth.

Boy, this was a long entry, I have to stop now because my neck has started to hurt but I hope you had fun reading. Ciao!

More pics!

Hubby gave me a new phone for Christmas! =) My old and battered 1100 can now retire. It's a no-frill camera phone, but I'm loving its sleek and slim features. It fits right into my jeans backpocket.

Thanks my darling! (
Pressured na'ko maghanap ng gift....)

Meet Maya. She's my Kuya Nino and his gf Loresh's 10 month old baby Rottweiler. She usually hangs around our house and I get to take care of her sometimes which includes walking her and making sure she's always answering the call of nature. =). She's a gentle dog...I don't even think that she's aware that she's a Rottweiler. She's a real softie. =). I love big dogs.

While I'm busy trying to organize my affairs such as our Team's Christmas Party presentation (ergo, my husband in afro..see previous and recent posts)and my baby shower in addition to balancing work, wifey-hood, and being me at the same time, I got to spend time with some of my bestest friends during the course of this week.

I can't even remember the last time that Freefall had been together as a group.

Our erratic schedules is actually the main culprit why we don't see each other as much.

Before, everybody would just converge at the condo that I'm renting for planned and impromptu eat-overs, sleep-overs, and drinking sessions.

Everything suddenly shifted mid-year. There had been major changes that had happened to each of us. Everyone had their own crises, and two days ago, I learned that apparently, some of them are still struggling with their own personal issues until now.

It just saddens me. And yes, as I've said to Jhamie, I feel a little guilty for having so much right now and for being this peaceful and contented. But Jhamie, said that we don't have to feel guilty.

Some people just need to put themselves together in their own pace and time...

Full Stomach

My mom, brother, husband and I indulged ourselves at Tramway Garden Buffet over at Tomas Morato a couple of weeks ago. It's only Php189 per head, and it can be worth your money.

I don't want to say that it's a Chinese buffet because there's a platter of California Maki at the Buffet table and few Filipino dishes as well, soooo....

I had to fight off a few matrons over this plate of buchis. They don't last over a minute at the buffet table. As soon as the server puts the plate down, it'll disappear in seconds, guaranteed.

Caught my brother in a pensive mood...perhaps he's thinking of what to eat next...=).

I've sworn off dumplings for the next three months.
