This is Halloween...Halloween...Halloween...

First of, we have our own brand new digicam. It's a Canon Powershot A550! A review can be found here.

Now we have to have test shots right?

The following menagerie was the brainchild of me and my Supervisor Rowald. =).

And here are the results.

Get ready to die...laughing....

I think we pulled off the Lara Croft pretty nicely...too bad she wasn't wearing the infamous short Khaki shorts. I guess she'd get a lot of guy votes for this. The tank top was hers, the military pants were provided by Rowald via the good old ukay-ukay. The shades were lent by one of my agent, Emmy and the boots and belt were courtesy of my cousin, the ROTC Commander.

We just bought the gloves for Php99.50 and the toy gun with the cheap-ass holster for about Php50 65.

The Undertaker get up was pretty cool as well. He usually wears black longsleeves and slacks so we just added trench coat, hat and gloves on him and then slapped some pale foundation and violet eyeshadow on his face and voila! We didn't spend a dime on this Undertaker.

And now...for the main event...Haa-hooh!

This skinny dude was really a good sport.

This ensemble was a bit expensive to make. All the weaponry were brand new and bought at a local toy store. I had to buy him cloth for his cape and I sewn it myself and Leonidas bought his own cycling shorts. But it was all so worth it.

This was the best that Rowald and I have come up with.

Let's see the other accounts beat this 90 lbs of solid skin and bones!

New Look

There. I've changed the lay out. I'm not yet happy with my header logo but I don't have any Photoshop here at the office so I'll just have my older brother work on that over the weekend.

I've been really good this past week. I've become a salad-addict. I have to eat at least one serving a day. I especially like those crunchy, leafy ones with really good Asian dressing. I've never been a salad person before but now, my carnivorous tendencies have considerable lessened. I've also been increasing my water intake each day. And it works wonder. My constipation have ceased and I'm feeling less crampy as well.

This little runt inside me is moving a whole lot. He squirms, wiggles, kicks, and punches me so hard many times during the day that sometimes I would yelp in surprise.

My husband and I have a lot to look forward to. =). We really do.

It's a boy

LALAKI anak namin! ....

Can you spot his genitals?

I thought I'd be disappointed but I wasn't. I was so enthralled to see him move and kick inside me.

But my mom is still insisting that it's just a fluke. She really wants a granddaughter.

My husband was sulking because the doctor didn't allow him inside the Ultrasound room.

We'd better start buying blue-colored stuff.

My favorite color, of course.

And expect a new lay out soon. =)

Please, please, please...let this be true!

Specialis Revelio

Nope. We weren't succesful this time. Our little baby was shy in facing the monitor so we'll try again in a month. Daddy was sorely disappointed but I told him to get over it. =). He just wants to start calling our baby by his or her name.

Our little one frustrated the doctor as well. S/he was moving and kicking all over the place and the doctor can't track his/her heartbeat. All he could hear were a lot of 'thud!' after the baby kicks.

Which is very much okay.

I gained 7 lbs since last month (129 lbs.)

That's like my weight during my bout with fat and unwanted pounds way back in college.

Ugh.

Kick Ass!

The kicks have started and it's the most wonderful experience in the world. This baby is really moving and shaking and wiggling and punching my insides. It should be uncomfortable and painful, but it's not. Or rather it is, but I don't really mind at all. Our baby usually reacts when he or she hears daddy's voice, especially at night before we go to sleep.

I look forward to every movement that our baby makes. I could not remember being this calm and serene before as I have always been a worrywart.

I can't wait for our ultrasound appointment. =).

Wow...I am a mom. =)

I'm upset...someone's been stealing my things at the office. First was my tube of glue, then came my unused Mongol Number 1 pencils, now my scissors are missing as well.

I'm really upset. Really.

Yeah, show 'em how it's done, grandpa...

The Nearness Of You

(a Rolling Stones version)

Its not the pale moon that excites me
That thrills and delights me, oh no
It's just the nearness of you

It isn't your sweet conversation
That brings this sensation, oh no
It's just the nearness of you

When you're in my arms and I feel you so close to me
All my wildest dreams come true

I need no soft lights to enchant me
If you'll only grant me the right
To hold you ever so tight
And to feel in the night the nearness of you

Across The Universe

Why, Evan, why? I've watched you in "Practical Magic." I've had the hots for you after you played that Elektra-inspired, pregnancy-imagining character for CSI. You gave Rachel McAdams a run for her money in "Pretty Persuasion." I haven't watched "The Upside of Anger" yet, but I will soon.

You had so much potential. Heck, I was even rooting for you and that 'Billy Elliot' kid (though I hated that Greenday music video that you both starred in).

Why did you have to shack up with that shock rocker that goes by the name of Marilyn Manson? He and Dita were doing fine.

Anyway...January 2008 can't come soon enough.

Across the Universe

directed by Julie Taymor

I need not have worried. I knew you would understand. I am of you and you are of me. I love you, Daddy. We can't wait to see you.

I remember a lot Friday evenings that goes like this: I'd meet Jhamie at Ministop-Galleria branch after work. We'd ride a bus up to Cubao, then ride the SSS Village FX from there, and alight at Ivory Street. We'd drop by Ardee's house first to let him know that we've arrived, before going to our destination, which is always the comforts of Karen's home. Always.

We'd cook, eat insane amounts of junk foods, eat taho from a pitcher, veg out in front of the tube, watching DVDs while taking turns in surfing. And most times, we'd wound up staying until Sunday morning despite intending to stay there only for a night.

Such fun times we've had.

Right now everybody is either teaching, or bumming around, or getting married or having babies or having long distance love affairs. And some have stopped communicating at all.

Hey you weirdos that I call my friend, I miss you all. I really do.
