I envy those who have a lot of positive and enriching lolo and lola experience. I didn't have a lot. My maternal grandpa died when I was 5, and although my maternal grandma lived to be 70+ something, I was never close to her. She was a meanie. Always yelling at me. But then again, she's had 11 kids and by the time I was born, I must've been the 15th grandchild or something so the thrill was probably lost by then.
My paternal grandpa also died when I was 6 and while I adore my Lola Eleng, I only got to see her every few years.
Which is why my son and nephews are so incredibly lucky. Everyday is Grandparents Day for them. My folks love 'em so much that they get to twist their lola mommy and lolo b around their little fingers. Lucky punks.
Anyway, here is my now biped punk, getting some assistance from his lolo and lola.
