My Brothers Are 'Artistas' Part 2

Okay, this is so unfair. In this family, I'm the one who wants to be in the limelight.
But this morning, Brother Number Four and his band Hi-Fi Indios guested in Umagang Kay Ganda.
Green with envy.
Maybe I should audition for Pinoy Big Brother Season 3, huh?
With Rica P.

And a newscaster. Forgot her name. Tee-hee.

My Brothers Are 'Artistas'

What can I say? Performing in front of an audience is embedded in our genes. This is where I get my chutzpah.
But dammit, my brother's performances were televised. The only time I have ever appeared on TV was when I covered the presscon for Vhong Navarro's Mr Suave album launch. That was 2005 or 2006. The camera swept by our table for a few seconds and that bit was shown on TV Patrol a couple of hours later. Dad was ecstactic. I was caught stuffing myself with food but atleast I got to take home a free Mr Suave CD and a very luxurious swag containing Kraft products.
Yeah...those were the days.
Anyway, my third brother (remember I have 4), a very low profile but a very creative individual, sessioned for Gorgoro today, when he and his crew guested at Unang Hirit. That's him in the olive shirt, holding the bass guitar.
Where's Arn-Arn?

And this is Brother number four, member of the band Hi-fi Indios, shooting their first music video for 'Sa Iyo'

Me and Motherhood

"My children cause me the most exquisite suffering of which I have any experience. It is the suffering of ambivalence: the murderous alternation between bitter resentment and raw-edged nerves, and blissful gratification and tenderness. Sometimes I seem to myself, in my feelings toward these tiny guiltless beings, a monster of selfishness and intolerance."
-Adrienne Rich
WHICH IS WHY I LOVE ADRIENNE SO MUCH.
