Angelina Jolie's loss may just be Megan Fox's gain.
Warner Bros. has confirmed plans to relaunch—and completely overhaul—the hot pants-wearing, artifact-collecting Lara Croft:
Tomb Raider franchise, with the first major casualty being Jolie.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the third film will completely reboot the video game-based character, including changing her origin story (most likely shying away from her English aristocracy roots) and introduce new kinds of missions, love interests and villains.
And, most notably, a new leading lady.
While producers say an actress likely won't be cast until a writer and director have signed on, Fox has emerged as the frontrunner replacement, at least as far as the blogosphere is concerned.
While Lara Croft:
Tomb Raider and its inconsistently punctuated sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life were produced by Paramount, the rights to the series have since reverted back to video game purveyor Eidos. In December, Time Warner increased its stake in the multimedia company, ensuring in-house studio Warner Bros. first dibs to what has been a lucrative, abeit critically panned, franchise.
The first installment, released in 2001, grossed $275 million worldwide, while the 2003 sequel earned $157 million. All told, the video game series, which launched in 1996, has accounted for more than $1 billion.
----
No, no, no, no, no.
Maybe they should just stop making Tomb Raider films.
And please, Rhona Mitra would be a better Lara Croft than that annoying Megan Fox. She's an Angie Wannabe! Well she wasn't bad to look at Transformers but the way she speaks annoys the hell out of me. And she's stick thin! Lara Croft is all curves!
A petition should start. If they can't bring Jolie back then scrap the whole idea!
Grrr...

Dang! Jill Valentine Is Dead...

...or will be. Whatever, I was never good at tenses.

Anyway, got a speak peek of the upcoming Resident Evil 5 game, (available only for PS3 and Xbox 360) and I found a dismal shot of Chris Redfield visiting Jill's grave

She was so hot. Even the movie copied down her looks to a t.

This is too bad. My other perennial RE favorite is the mysterious Ada Wong also died in RE 4.

They should have killed off Claire Redfield instead. I was never a big fan. Or they could find a way to bring back Jill to life like they did to my all time kick-ass video game heroin, Lara Croft. I was so obsessed with her that she was my thesis topic.

Reliving the hotness here:

Caked!

This project was delayed for weeks! And I found out how hard it was to make a marshmallow fondant icing. I don't know what I was thinking. It was messy, and tiring (all that kneading sure toned my arms. I think), but totally fun to look at when it's done.

Those below are the 'train wrecks:'

Tee-hee...so who's next on the birthday list?

All Is Well

Thanks to the fairy godmothers who were dutifully monitoring Wolf's progress since getting sick last week. He is now on his way to recovery. And turning 11 months tomorrow. =).
My precocious little punk is growing up so fast. My husband and I could not have been any more prouder parents.

Silence! I Kill You!

This is one funny mofo!

What The Hell Happened To...

????

After The Hours (which I love, love, love) and The Others, it was bomb after bomb after bomb after bomb for Nic (except maybe for, uh, Happy Feet).

The last Kidman movie I watched was the experimental film, Dogville, which I also loved.

After that was pfffttt.

Maybe she should take a hiatus or something.
Anyway, watch out for the sequel of Australia, starring our very own: Angel and Piolo.
